Nunsi Shiaki is a Data Scientist and AI/ML Engineer dedicated to bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application. With a focus on natural language processing, computer vision, and applied AI in low-resource environments, she navigates the complexities of building robust systems amidst infrastructure challenges.
Her research has been featured at top-tier global venues, including the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), the International Research in Artificial Intelligence (IRAI) conference, and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Generative AI Hackathon, where her team placed in the top 3 out of 574 submissions from 55 countries. A community builder at heart, Nunsi leads Data Science Nigeria and IEEE student chapters at her university, where she advocates for a movement that empowers individuals to evolve from AI consumers into AI builders.
